NMOG CREDITS -- COSVAM PRODS CARB

After receiving verbal assurances from both the staff at CARB and Toyota concerning the transfer of the block of MY 2000 NMOG credits, the transfer of the credits has not yet occured. Accordingly, COSVAM has written to both CARB and Toyota to kickstart the creation of the NMOG credit dispersal mechanism.

COSVAM is continuing to monitor the California announcement that it would initiate a rulemaking to define "SVM". Early reports were that California would adopt the EPA definition of "SVM", which would jeopardise any company of which 10% is owned by a large manufacturer.
